In this position you will work as part of a team with the Senior Analyst covering the Retailing, Specialty Softlines and E-commerce in Wells Fargo's Equity Research department. Specific responsibilities include creating, updating, and maintaining financial models, writing company and industry reports, conducting fundamental research and communicating with clients, internal sales people and senior management. Exposure to institutional investors, covered company/industry corporate executives and other experts will become an integral part of the position.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
5+ years of capital markets industry research experience

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

Knowledge and understanding of Investment tools such as Bloomberg or Factset application
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
5+ years direct equity research experience within the consumer sector.
Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, modeling, proprietary research and due diligence
FINRA Registration for FINRA Series 86 & 87 must be completed within 90 days of hire date
Superior financial accounting, financial statement analysis, and financial modeling skills
CFA and/or MBA a plus
Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required
