We are looking to expand our team and are seeking an Asset Manager to join the team based in Melbourne. You'll join a dynamic, team environment, where you can get immediately involved on the asset management of the property portfolio.
What you'll be doing
Asset management of the property portfolio. This is largely made up of office but also includes industrial and retail.
Liaise and assist the team and appointed leasing agents in the marketing and leasing process of both vacant and upcoming vacancies to ensure vacancy rates are kept as low as possible.
Liaise with outsourced Property and Facilities Managers to promote best practice in administration and management of the Funds' assets including and not limited to presentation of asset, budgeting, lease administration, arrears management and critical dates.
Work with the team to provide accurate forecasting for the portfolio.
Assist with the annual insurance renewal program and implementation of property risk reports.
Set asset plans with Property Managers and manage ongoing plans with the rest of the team.
Assist the team with preparing reports based on the property performance both monthly and quarterly.
Preparing board papers and other collateral for matters requiring Board or IC approval.
A suitable candidate for this position will have the following:
Tertiary qualifications in a property related discipline.
Five to seven years' experience in property with a focus on commercial real estate asset management.
Experience in valuation and investment analysis considered favourably.
Proven skills in financial modelling and using Excel.
Experience in building positive relationships with tenants and contractors.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in some of the following: presentation preparation, research and co-ordination of due-diligence.
