We're excited to offer a Product Management internship program in summer 2020, based in New York City.
During your PM internship, you'll deep dive into technology's growing role within commercial real estate, learning more about the products we build here and their impact on our users. You'll then be embedded with one of our product teams, and fully own a product feature from inception to launch. As part of our user-centered product approach, you'll develop a deep understanding of our users, define success metrics, prototype product ideas, validate them with users, and ultimately build and launch a product feature by the end of the summer.
Along with day-to-day mentorship from product managers, you'll work alongside experienced product designers, software engineers, user experience researchers, and commercial real estate professionals.
What you'll be doing this summer:
Working with a PM to define the strategic goals and success metrics for your product feature
Conducting user research to determine user unmet needs and validate product feature ideas, in partnership with user researchers
Working with designers, engineers, and other internal stakeholders to design and build technology products
Using product analytics and other data to inform your thinking and validate your product's success
Defining and executing a product feature launch, including strategies for beta testing, product marketing, user adoption, and customer success
Coordinating across multiple disciplines at CBRE Build to ensure your product feature launches successfully, on time, and with high quality
You have a passion for products and their impact on the world : we're looking for someone who is deeply interested in the intersection of technology and business, with a knack for user empathy and a great sense of design
You're pursuing a field aligned with product management : while PM isn't a major yet, you should be a current Bachelors/Masters candidate in an engineering or business-related major, graduating in Fall 2020 or Spring 2021
You're a quick learner and avid problem solver : you're intellectually curious, are a sponge when it comes to new topics, processes, or technologies, and dig deep into problems to find viable solutions
You put collaboration first : you enjoy helping people around you do their best work, by enabling them with everything they need to succeed
You have excellent communication skills : you're comfortable explaining complex topics to business executives or beta users, as much as you're comfortable talking about user feedback or business needs to software engineers
A bonus : you have past tech industry internship experience in software engineering or product management
