CBRE Group, Inc. (NYSE: CBRE), a Fortune 500 and S&P 500 company, seeks a Corporate Communication Specialist responsible for supporting a variety of communications duties in CBRE's dynamic Southeast region.
Based in Washington, D.C., the Corporate Communication Specialist will support communication initiatives for several of CBRE's Southeast markets including Charlotte, Nashville, Memphis, and South Carolina through media relations, social media and internal communications. The Corporate Communication Specialist works with the regional Senior Communication and Media Manager and Senior Communication Specialist to articulate trends and story angles to a variety of audiences and through multiple communications channels in an integrated fashion.
Corporate Communication Specialists may assist in developing talking points, both internally and externally. The Corporate Communication Specialist reports to the regional Senior Communications and Media Manager.
Responsibilities: May write and distribute press releases across a variety of topics
Own content sharing on the local market Twitter accounts
Train professionals in social media best practices
Support Communication and Media Manager in creation of internal messaging
Foster strong and lasting relationships with relevant local media, and maintain ongoing dialogue that leads to opportunities for the organization
May pitch opportunities for thought leadership across traditional and non-traditional media Build strong working relationships with local leadership to understand each market's
PR/communications needs and goals
Maintain and update local media distribution lists
Publish press releases on the local website
Track media coverage
Experience and Qualifications: Strong writing and communication skills. Able to foster relationships and communication with professionals across departments, as well as with media and PR firms.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with up to three years of related experience in PR, internal communications and social media.
