Serves as an engineering lead fostering the delivery of world-class product solutions to deliver the highest value to the business. Serves as a trusted advisor within Hana and larger CBRE D&T organization, overseeing the outcomes of multiple teams and the most critical products. Utilizes strong leadership skills and deep expertise, while exhibiting learning agility to promote open-source solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Play a critical tech leadership role in Hana's mission with helping people with purpose accomplish great things.
Driving technology innovation and excellence on Hana's marketing platforms, working closely with CBRE D&T counterparts to lead / implement corporate wide technology initiatives and serve Hana business needs.
Drive both technology and product innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
Comfortably hands-on coding and independently design, implement and test complex features, as well as lead and mentor other engineers, help build engineering teams.
Owning the "you build it, you own it" model and processes come with it, drive engineering excellency through CI/CD.
Get things done! Proactively drive technical project and program toward in software development life cycles by owning the software engineering role.
Special projects! Drive integration efforts and lead critical work streams of strategic initiatives.
Work closely with leaders in solution architecture and enterprise architecture team, design and solution the marketing platform for the next 2-5 years to support Hana's exploding growth.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Significant track record leading high-performing engineers, teams on the product development in a lean startup/enterprise, agile environment.
5 years of non-managerial technical experience, including mastery of at least one coding language, in-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle, and familiarity with project management and testing methodologies.
5 years of experience collaborating with various teams such as business strategies, product management, technical project management, data engineering, sales and finance.
Experience with React, Redux and have used it in prior projects
Experienced with streaming data processing using facilities like Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ or similar.
Experience developing AWS native/serverless technologies, infrastructure automation/Cloud Formation, Kubernetes, Docker, and test-driven development, Python or NodeJS with Git.
Passionate about modern web and mobile technologies, strong understanding of best practices and challenges in cross-platform product development, have in-depth understanding of how to build engineering teams to deliver operational excellence.
Familiar with digital marketing, sales processes and flows, and the implementation details of a successful digital platform for direct-to-consumer products.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of eight to twelve years of related experience and/or training, including five years of non-managerial technical hands-on experience.
Significant experience of engineering lead in lean startup teams within a large enterprise environment is a big plus.
